75th Anniversary Torch Relay9th May 2016

This year is the 75th anniversary of the formation of the Air Training Corps. To mark this fantastic occasion Staffordshire wing have designed a torch that is being relayed to every Squadron in the Wing. Each Squadron has been tasked with taking the torch to local landmarks whilst delivering it in style to the next Squadron.

2151 Biddulph Squadron transfered the torch to us, it was then on a fabulous visit to Manchester Airport control tower and fire station followed by Congleton's park, ambulance station and war memorial.

The end of the week will see us hold a reception and passing out parade before transfer of the torch by canoe along the canal system to Sandbach!

Cadets enjoyed a great week at Easter Swynnerton camp. Loads of fun, making new friends, learning new skills and enjoying many activities including inflatable obstacle courses, first aid, casualty evac, raft and shelter building and clay pigeon shooting.

Sgt Lea, Sgt Bonney and Cpl Rogers also took on the challenging Swynnerton Leadership course, ably instructed by Cpl Birch who was one of the cadet directing staff.
